The ickiest infestation ever...
Ugh. *shivers*
I just got through with a weekend of cleaning, throwing food away, and replacing the food, but putting it all in tupperware.
David and I discovered an infestation (thankfully somewhat mild) of Indian meal moths yesterday. They were all over our cupboards (that had food in them) in all their icky forms: the moths, the worms, and the eggs, which are about the size of a grain of sand. These particular moths/worms are partial to flour, sugar, cereal, oats, meal, dried fruit, nuts (and other legumes)--pretty much everything we had in our cupboards. I spent the majority of yesterday and today throwing out 4 trashbags-full of food, wiping down our cupboards, vacuuming the crevices in the cupboards, replacing all the food we threw out, and storing all the new food in tupperware (and gladware and ziplocware). Expensive and gross. Really gross. When I found the sunflour seeds that housed the main nest, I started crying from the grossed-outness and I thought I would be sick. Luckily, David and I were able to track down all the little wormies and moths we could. Still saw a few today, but now all the cleaning, throwing out and re-tuppering is done and we should see fewer and fewer until we clean them all out or they starve to death!
I would much rather have an infestation of koala bears! ^_^

That would be th' cutest infestation ever. And you could say, "Hey! Come over here and let me feed you a leaf." ^_~
Yeah, that would be cool if, when I turned on the lights, koala bears scattered!
PS, how was the moving? ^_^
Yeah.
So I'll be doing that this week and setting things up in the new apartment (which I love). And today, I'm taking the office ladies chocolate and cards in appreciation for their unbelievable niftiness.
